About the Music
A New Beginning is a musical tribute to three middle schools within the Brunswick City School District (Ohio) coming together to become the new Brunswick Middle School.
The piece begins with three individual motives entering one by one. As one motive enters, it joins the previous until all three motives are occurring simultaneously. While each motive can stand on its own, it's apparent that they also work together perfectly. This new composite rhythm comprised of the three motives culminates into a soaring melody meant to represent the beginning of something brilliant and new - A fresh start built on the shoulders of all that came before.
