MCI Composer Spotlight: "The Bridge"
Given all of the craziness of the end of the school year, I have not had much time to post a blog entry in some time... In the meantime, I'd like to share a blog post about one of my pieces.
The Millennium Composers Initiative recently posted a feature on my piece "The Bridge," which was recognized as a winning selection in the 2019 Pennsylvania Music Educators Association Composition Contest during the PMEA/NAfME Eastern Division Conference, held in Pittsburgh this past April 4th-7th.
"The Bridge" is a very meaningful piece to me, and I was honored to have it recognized by PMEA. It follows the story of a boy having to say goodbye to his dog, what happens after the dog passes on, and the excitement and overwhelming joy when the two are reunited at the Rainbow Bridge. To learn more about my inspirations behind this piece, check out the original post from the MCI website below!
